About the Player: Edgar Martinez is a Baseball Hall of Famer (inducted 2019) and one of the greatest designated hitters in MLB history. A seven-time All-Star and five-time Silver Slugger Award winner, Edgar spent his entire 18-year career with the Seattle Mariners. He finished with a career .312 batting average, 309 home runs, and 1,261 RBI. His iconic 1995 ALDS double — "The Double" — is one of the most celebrated moments in Mariners history. The Mariners retired his #11 in 2017.
